No Entiendo Nada

Rome and Barcelona have taught me many things. Here's one: the way to keep cool in oppressive heat is: move slower. Walk slow. Don't let your heartbeat rise. Take stairs REAL slow. It works.

Song of the day: Dionne Warwick - Don`t Make Me Over.
Bonus Beat: Bang Gang - It's Alright.

I've been loving this politics/polling blog this summer.

Tancat par Vacances pt. 2

When out to Tapas last night with a few people, it were memorable.

It's so hot, water comes out of the cold tap ready to scald.

I've been running around, looking at art as usual, but all I really want to do is go to the beach vegetate.

Song of the day: Joe Tex - Buying A Book.

Tancat par Vacances

Barcelona is ... the very udders from which the milk of human kindness is reaped.

Highlight of yesterday was walking down the (nude) beach, my feet getting licked by the waves. Discovering my house was pretty good too... as was realizing that I'm in a graffiti wonderland. My house has a dedicated piece of furniture for siestas. I'll probably just use it as a place to sleep when I have my guests.

Stumbled into the red light district yesterday which was depressing. Prostitution and drug sales are done openly on the street, in full view of the present police.

Highlight of today was... the busker's festival? Absolutely great street music... had so much fun at the Cuban band's show in the harbor. There was a really tight cadence/marching band too.

I saw the MNAC (Museu Nacional D'Art de Catalunya today. The Romanesque and Gothnc holdings roll deep... I ran into a art restorer from the Wooster Museum and had an interesting conversation about conservation.

Song of the day: Gabor Szabo - Gypsy Queen.
Bonus Beat: Bad Brains - Banned In D.C..

Roaming

Might be out of touch, as I approach the Catalonian mud hut from the East.

Song of the day: Lyrics Born - Pack Up Feat. Dilated Peoples And Krs One (Remix).
Bonus Beat: Minor Threat - Look Back And Laugh.
